muhsinah has been all i've been listening to lately.
i haven't even been working on the vigil, honestly.
i feel that it's missing something, but i'm not sure what, yet.

but i digress.

get more familiar with muhsinah at www.muhsinah.com.

Another Dwele Bootleg Production from my top played artist in itunes.

get familiar with Kenzie May. she was interviewed in the May 2009 issue of 21-7 Magazine and i've been following her music since.
she has a strong following on youtube for singing covers, but she always has a lot of dope original content on her myspace.
i'd suggest you check both.

the song i posted isn't her highest rated, most viewed, and probably not her strongest, but its my personal favorite.
not only is she talented, but shes cool peoples too. i'd love to work with her in the future.

check out her youtube and her myspace.

i had to put you on to this.
she makes some amazing music.
her style is kind of reminiscent of some of my favorite artists, such as amel larrieux and corinne bailey rae.
she even has a track with my favorite emcee, blu (alongside phonte & joe budden) called 'dreamland'.
i would love to collab with her one day.

check her music out at www.myspace.com/andyallo and follow her on twitter.

also, make sure you cop her debut album, UnFresh, which dropped september 22nd, 2009.

kinda late... its been a month since he dropped the vid on his youtube, but dope video nonetheless. dwele is the truth... if you don't have any of his albums, definitely check out his last album... Sketches of a Man available now on itunes.

this is one of the smoothest songs on the album... the song at the end is an interlude "You Won't Be Lonely"

tell us what you think, and follow good music on twitter @therealdwele

Many of you may ask, Why ANTICIPATION? Well lets break it down shall we:

An⋅tic⋅i⋅pa⋅tion [an-tis-uh-pey-shuhn] -noun
1. realization in advance, intuition; foretaste.
2. Musically - a tone introduced in advance of its harmony so that it sounds against the preceding chord.

Musically, I'm currently in a creative space like no other. I feel as though whenever a mic is put in front of me, I can do no wrong. At a time in the music industry where album sales are low, fans are fickle, inconsistent, or more into the various songs than they are the particular artist, I feel that I must give you a reason to love me. Embed in you a desire to love me and an appreciation for the music. I must show you that not only do I LOVE what I do but I also do it well.

The creation of ANTICIPATION began after I presented READY to my label the first time. I just started recording on my days off and the music felt great and decided that I'd rather share the music than let it sit and be idle. This is music without politics, without creative boundaries.

Troy (my mentor and founder & CEO of Songbook Ent.) and I have been making music since I was 15. There was a time when thoughts of monotonous melodies or redundant choruses weren't THE KEY to making a hit record. Music that just felt good. Although they're present at times the boundaries are endless in this body of work, giving you a (1) realization in advance to READY.

What do I mean by READY? Well, lets do this one more time.

Read⋅y [red-ee] –adjective
1. completely prepared or in fit condition for immediate action or use

I like to say don't get READY...STAY READY!!! But until then...Here is ANTICIPATION...
WHAT YOU WAITIN ON!? Are you READY?

i've had this mixtape for a while but i never thought to post it. trey songz promoted it again on his twitter today so i said fuck it. its a great mixtape... it sounds like an album. i recommend letting this album rock during sexytime.

i think trey songz is one of the last REAL musicians out there, especially when it comes to r&b. & i feel that i can definitely relate to that first paragraph up there.
